When Mandala Experience finished, Paul Brook offers Nicolas Lacoumette (an important member of Mandala Experience) to continue the experience in duo . This duo follows the guideline of Mandala Experience. Focused on free improvisation, the two musicians use as a main tool, a looper, invented by Nicolas Lacoumette. This Looper allows them to superimpose a series of loops and scaffold in synchronization a real musical skyscraper. Modal in character, the music get closer to Indian ragas. This is Paul Brook's first project turning gradually towards Indian music. Between Mandala Experience and NOKO, the two musicians have changed. Paul Brook followed the teaching of an Indian classical guitar master (Barun Kumar Paul) and Nicolas Lacoumette turned to learning the harp and dyphonic singing. This return to traditions gives this project new atmospheres that belong neither to the blues, nor to rock, nor to jazz ... In few recorded session, they are  joined by the drummer Matthieu Calleja, met at the Ashram of Aurobindo in India.

Après la fin du projet Mandala Experience, Paul Brook propose à Nicolas Lacoumette (membre important de Mandala Experience) de continuer l'expérience en duo. Ce duo  continue la ligne directrice de Mandala Experience. Toujours axé principalement sur l'improvisation libre, les deux musiciens utilisent comme principal outil, un looper, inventé par Nicolas Lacoumette. Ce Looper leur permet de superposer une série de boucles et d'échaffauder en synchronisation un vrai gratte-ciel musical. De caractère modal, la musique produite se rapproche parfois des ragas indiens. C'est le premier projet de Paul Brook qui se tourne progressivement vers la musique indienne. 

Entre Mandala Experience et NOKO, les deux musiciens ont évolués. Paul Brook a suivi l'enseignement d'une maître de guitare classique indienne (hamsa vina) et Nicolas Lacoumette s'est tourné vers l'apprentissage de la guimbarde et du chant dyphonique. Ce retour aux traditions confère à ce projet des atmosphères inédites qui n'appartiennent ni au blues, ni au rock, ni au jazz... Ils sont rejoint parfois par le batteur Matthieu Calleja, rencontré à l'Ashram d'Aurobindo en Inde.
